GIS Consultancy Services
Intro
Salford GIS are dedicated to providing independent consultancy across all aspects of GIS-related projects. The company’s background in the provision of software and data capture services has provided an excellent foundation on which to build their extensive skills and experience. All consultants have a working knowledge of GIS and have assisted in delivering the many benefits to be derived from the practical application of GIS within many different business areas. This enables them to provide tested and no-nonsense advice that helps ensure projects are achievable and affordable.
Our consultants work very closely with their clients, they are enthusiastic, enjoy their work, and like to ensure that those they work with also enjoy and benefit from the experience. At the same time they approach all projects with professionalism and employ tried and tested project management techniques.
The boundaries of GIS are becoming more blurred as the technology becomes more closely integrated into other mainstream and operational systems. Our experience extends beyond normal GIS boundaries – and in addition to their in-depth expertise of the majority of mainstream GIS-based products, our consultants also have knowledge of a wide range of related land and property-based systems. This is especially true within the public sector where we have a wide knowledge of the business processes, workflows and information requirements of planning, building control, engineering, highways, estates, land charges, environmental health and many other property-related services. In addition, becoming increasingly involved in the application of GIS to Contact Centres, Education, Social Services and Housing.
Projects can be as short as one or two days where our consultants are employed to provide some specific advice or guidance. At the other end of the scale are long-term implementation or GIS management projects where our consultants have been commissioned to provide many days consultancy over one or two years.
Whatever your needs, our consultants are able to “hit the ground running” at any stage of a GIS project life cycle. The following list provides an indication of the project stages we are experienced in:
