Salford GIS has built a strong reputation for providing high quality GIS training services to a wide range of clients. One of our most popular courses is our two-day Introduction course in one of the world's leading desktop mapping products - ESRI ArcView 9.
The course is aimed at those who are new to ArcView, or at those at a novice level. The aim is to give users confidence to use the power of GIS and ArcView to display, manipulate and analyse information geographically, with the result that they are able to make more informed decisions.

Intermediate Training
Salford GIS has built a strong reputation for providing high quality GIS training services to a wide range of clients. In addition to the two-day 'Introduction to' series we now offer an Intermediate level training course in the latest version of ArcView.
Course Pre-Requisites - delegates should be familiar with:
- The structure and function of shapefiles
- Setting layer properties, the function of layers (.LYR) and maps (.MXD)
- Using SQL queries (select by attributes)
- Creating layouts
- Basic symbology and layering

Advanced Training
Our new one-day course presents the most popular modules from our private advanced course in a format accessible and affordable to individuals as well as groups.
The course is aimed at those who are competent ArcView users, having previously attended an approved introductory level course in ArcView.
